One Down...Four to Go!

Well tonight the Warriors won, but they are still tied with the Denver Nuggets for the eighth position. The are still tied because Denver won too. The Warriors played well though and came out with a much need victory. Now four games remain and every game will be their most important game of the season. If the Warriors win the rest of the games they will definitely make the playoffs. So who cares about all the different situations because I would rather not think about that because winning all the games is easier and more fun. So with that said pay attention to the final games because they will make or brake the team's season. Four wins and they're in! Let's Go Warriors!!!!

Not Good!!!!

Hello again and I can't believe the Warriors. They lost again!!!! Unbelievable. I am not in the best of moods right now because the Warriors lost today against New Orleans by twelve. To make it worse Dallas won moving them further ahead of the Warriors and Denver is playing right now and are probably gonna win. This sucks because the Warriors are gonna fall back even more of the eighth position.

It sucks as a fan because you believe so much, but when they don't win, it angers you because they can play with and beat these teams. To me it is a shame that the players are not putting forth their full effort especially with so much on the line. Monta is playing at a superstar level, but evidently he isn't enough. They have four or five games left and it is there last chance to try to make the playoffs. They play Denver and that is an absolute must win game. These two games are directly fighting for the last spot for the playoffs. The Warriors need to refuel their tank real quick for this last stretch of games. The games will be really exciting and they are must win games...all of them!!!!

Hopefully Denver will lose so the Warriors can stay tied with them in the eighth position. It is crunch time in the Western Conference and the Warriors hopefully will win these last games. I would want anything but for the Warriors to come up on the short end of the stick. I still have faith, but it is running out so hopefully they can make me regain my faith in the team and the playoff race!

On the road faced with many tests...

Well I'm back and I'm disappointed. The Warriors played tonight and lost, which is not good for the team because Denver won, meaning they took over the eighth spot in the west leaving the Warriors outside looking into the playoffs. Not only did they lose, but they got killed. Even worse they didn't even broadcast the game on TV. They showed a baseball, which could be less important at this time in the season of sports. The Warriors have three more games on their road trip and need to win all three or at least two of them. If they want any chance to make the playoffs then they will win these games otherwise their chances will become even smaller, especially if Denver keeps winning. All I know is that if the Warriors end up missing the playoffs everyone is going to be really disappointed. I will be for sure! As much as they deserve to make it, if they don't win this last stretch of games then I guess they wouldn't deserve. Fortunately I have faith and believe they will pull through with the team riding on the "Big Three's" back (Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson and Monta Ellis). And this year in the playoffs the ranking of seed in the Western Conference means nothing because all teams are going to be very good and there are no advantages of playing a low seed. All NBA fans will have a real exciting time watching the playoffs this year. Hopefully the Warriors will be a part of this years playoffs and make something happen again like last year because all true Warrior fans believe!

Tied!!!

Well this post is about the weekend and what the Warriors have been up to. The had two games over the weekend. One on Saturday against the Denver Nuggets and one today against the Dallas Mavericks. Well before the weekend started the Warriors were in the eighth and final playoff spot, but a lot can change over two days at this point in the season and now they are tied for the seventh playoff spot with the two teams they played over the weekend. The Warriors were playing for survival all weekend. When they played Denver, they lost more then just the game. They lost their place in the playoff race, but that was a short-lived fate. Yes it was not fun to see my team lose their playoff spot to the team that was behind them just a game ago, but the weekend wasn't over and when they played Dallas the team was back. Even though they started slow they came back with rejuvenation and looked like they had rested for days. The Warriors beat Dallas and made the Western Conference even more competitive because after this game all three teams are tied with the same record for the same playoff positions. With only nine games left in the season it is going to come down to the last game. The playoff race has never been so competitive, but it only adds to the excitement of the NBA and hopefully the Warriors will come out on top! The upcoming road trip the Warriors are face with starts with powerhouse San Antonio, Dallas again, Memphis, and ends with New Orleans. All games are winnable, but will have to be well deserved. If the team can pull off the road trip with four wins it will be a big accomplishment for them and will set themselves apart from the other two teams they are tied with (Dallas and Denver). So until next time with updates of the road trip I leave you with anticipation of the upcoming games. Go Warriors!

A True Virtual Community!

Hello again this post is not about the usual update of the team, but rather about another blog that has the same topic. "Golden State of Mind" is the blog and it has been around for almost too long, in my opinion. My opinion on how long a blog should last is besides the point because I am a first time blogger. Golden State of Mind has been around since 2004, I believe, and has many viewers who comment and follow the blog daily. Each post is filled with new comments that usually consist of the same people. This blog seems to have established itself over the years as a place that many warrior fans go to to vent and talk about their favorite team. The blog consists of updates of all the games and includes other posts that pertain to the game like special events and new ideas that fans can support. The blog is filled with everything one would want to know about the team. I find that this blog has a lot of time put into it. To me personally I think the time put into the blog is not worth it, but that is just my opinion. As much of a warrior fan I am I would not find it necessary to keep a blog about the team for four years. In my mind this person spends too much time worrying about the team. I enjoy writing a blog, but "Golden State of Mind" just seems too much. Because this person has so many readers that are interested in the blog he has a good reason to keep it up. I am assuming his blog started with few readers, but as time went on more and more people comment and follow his blog. I don't follow this blog because I watch the games myself and don't find it necessary to follow up on what other people saw. I have my friends to express to how the Warriors did and are doing because they watch basketball too. My blog I now feel is for people who are fans, but are too busy to watch the games and when my blog is read it lets fans know how they did in case they missed it. "Golden State of Mind" on the other hand, I feel like, updates fans on what they already know so they can express to each other their thoughts on the team's downfall or progress. All in all the blog is very well structured and it is obvious that time was put into and effort was put forth into creating and maintaing the blog.

Will they make it?

So I start off by asking will the Warriors hold strong and make the playoffs. My answer is that they will. Maybe because I am a huge fan, but also I truly believe they will make them. The last two nights they played two games against the same team, the Los Angeles Lakers. They split the games and the Warriors one in LA for the first time since 2003. They played really well both games and definitely sent a message to the rest of the league that they can compete with the top. The game they won Stephen Jackson hit two clutch three pointers to seal the deal. The next night was just as much of a nail biter as the night before. The game came down to the wire and none of the Warrior fans were happy with the outcome. The team was down by two points and the out of bounds play was set up. People started moving and people fell and the next thing you heard was a whistle. The call was against the Warriors and the stands had an outcry of "Boos!!" I couldn't believe the referee did that. He ruined the game for the fans, the players, and the coaches. It was an unnecessary call that ultimately lost the game for the Warriors. What should have happened was there shouldn't have been a whistle and the game should have been decided by the players, but that didn't happen and the Warriors lost, now barely hanging on to the eighth playoff spot. So I ask you again will the Warriors prevail and make the playoffs? Wait and see because there is merely a couple weeks left in the season. It is going to be so exciting!

We need a Win!

Hello everybody and Happy Easter first and for most! It has been a while since the last time I have posted on the blog, but don't blame me, I have been on spring break and I have not had much time. Any way the Warriors on the other hand have also been very busy. Their schedule has been very full and I can only imagine how hard it must be on all the players' bodies, but they have been dealing with the journey with heart and outstanding effort. The Warriors are playing tonight against the Lakers and it is an absolute must win for the team for their playoff chances to stay alive. Before tonight the Warriors have lost against the Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings. The team is barely hanging onto the eighth playoff spot with the Denver Nuggets creeping up very closely. In the last three games the Warriors have lost two and only one one, but have still kept the eighth spot. Over the week the first place team in the Western Conference has changed multiple times due to the fact that all the teams in the West are so good. Only four games separate the eighth seed to the first seed. You never know, maybe by the end of the season the Warriors will end up on top. Not likely, but with the standings so close anything is really possible. Now today on Easter the Warriors play the first seeded Los Angeles Lakers and at halftime are winning by twenty three points. Can you say, "WOW!!" What a half, the Warriors have scored seventy two points in the first half which is amazing in the NBA. If they can keep this up and hold on to the lead and come out of the game with a win it will send a message to the whole leagues showing they can compete with anybody. The thing about the Warriors is the amount of players they have that can score at will. Their main stars Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, and Monta Ellis are the big three that provide the spark and the most offense, but if they are having an off night then they have players behind them that are capable of picking them up to provide a win. This is essential for them because it creates a team that can be dangerous against any team. This should allow them to prevail and make the playoffs. The true fans of the Warriors will greatly appreciate second straight playoff appearance and hopefully they can advance to a round further then they did last year. But first the team needs a win tonight against the Lakers!

Two Games, Two Nights

Well since my last post the warriors have played two games. The first game they played very well. They beat the Toronto Raptors to keep up with the rest of the West. Everybody played well and the bench pushed the team to another outstanding win. I am always really happy to watch the games because for some reason I want them to win so much. Toronto is pretty good and we beat them. Another game closer to making the playoffs. I just promised my friend that if they make the playoffs we would go the game for sure, so hopefully that will happen. Baron Davis, the star and leader of the team, played like an MVP. He led the team and made the Golden State Warriors look like a championship team...maybe not yet, but hopefully soon enough. All I ever can think about when the NBA comes up is how good the West is. This has never ever happened before and for my team to be apart of history is always something you want to brag about. Tonight the team is going against their division rival, the Phoenix Suns, and the game is still going on. I am actually getting really tired so I might not post the final outcome, so make sure you look it up online! Well I lied and the game is over and unfortunately my team lost. This isn't good because every game is a must win game. Hopefully this won't have a major effect on the team's chances of the playoffs. After tonight's game there are only 17 games left. Not many out of the 82 total games. Whenever the Warriors lose it kind of upsets me, but I am definitely not a zealot who can't accept the fact that they lost. As a matter of fact I am only getting used to the Warriors winning because just a short two seasons ago they were one of the worst teams in the entire league. I always stuck with them knowing eventually they would improve and what do you know they are a playoff team now. But anyway they didn't win today and that sucks, but like they say "you win some and you lose some." Hopefully there will be more W's in the win column in the last games than losses. It would honestly be a real shame if the Warriors didn't make the playoffs because I feel that they deserve to be in the "Big Show." They play with so much excitement and passion that every game you watch on TV you feel like you are in the stadium. Being a Warriors fan is more than just a fan. A Warriors fan actually does support the team and gives them an advantage when they play in Oakland. Well I leave you with an encouragement to watch a Warriors game and see what it feels like to be a Warrior fan. On this upcoming saturday they play. So make sure you keep up with the game and watch the excitement. Warriors will make you enjoy basketball. So until next time watch the game and be a fan!

My First One

Hi, I am Tobias Wulff and this is my first ever blog. I am a little timid, but also excited to write a blog about something I prefer to write about. The Golden State Warriors are the bay area basketball team in the NBA. They are my team and always will be no matter what. A little history of the team in the NBA consists of only one NBA Championship and an only playoff appearance last season since 1994. They were merely the last seed in the playoffs, but with every fan rallying behind the team in bright yellow "We Believe!" T-shirts they pulled out the impossible. I was so happy, I couldn't believe it. They beat the team with the best record in the NBA that year and moved into the second round. This year however is another story. Again with only 20 games remaining in the season the Warriors are trying to hold onto the 8th sport in the West. This year the west is so amazingly good that teams could win 40 games or more and not make the playoffs. I am really excited to be a Warrior fan this year because every game counts and the playoffs are going to be amazing. They play on Wednesday and I will definitely be watching that game. Hopefully they can pull out another win. I will definitely keep everyone posted on the Warriors' progress or descent...Until next time this is Tobias Wulff a die-hard Warrior fan!
